Before TryoutsWe will have an Informational Meeting before tryouts. This is when you'll receive tryout dates, times, and the paperwork needed to tryout. Before you can tryout, you need a copy of an IHSA Sports Physical dated within the past year. You CANNOT say that you turned it in to the office or Nurse. You NEED to submit it to Coach. |
ClinicsPrior to the official tryout, we hold clinic dates, which are mandatory. This is when you will learn all of the material necessary for tryouts. This includes jumps, stunts, cheers, and a short dance. You will also be given time to showcase any tumbling you have. Athletic wear and Gym/Cheer shoes must be worn on these dates. |
Tryout DayProspective cheerleaders will tryout in groups of 5-7. The tryouts are closed to parents and other athletes. The only people allowed in the tryout area will be the coach and a demo group of cheerleaders. Waiting athletes will be allowed to review materials in the hall with returning cheerleaders until it is their turn to tryout. |
Tryout Videos
We post a video at the end of clinics with the material that was covered. This is to ensure that the prospective cheerleaders are able to practice effectively at home.
